Quickstart

Get up and running with CraftDesk in under 5 minutes.

Quickstart

Follow these four simple steps to get started with CraftDesk and create your first collaborative workspace.

Step 1: Sign Up and Choose Your Plan

Visit craftdesk.app and click Sign Up. Enter your email address, create a password, and provide your workspace name. On the next screen, choose your plan:

  • Starter — Perfect for individuals or very small teams just getting started
  • Professional — Ideal for growing teams with moderate project complexity
  • Business — For enterprises requiring unlimited projects and priority support

You can always upgrade or downgrade later. All plans include a 14-day free trial with full access to paid features.

Note: New workspaces start on the Starter plan if you choose to pay. Trial access begins immediately upon sign-up.

Step 2: Create Your First Project

Once you've created your workspace, you'll see the dashboard. Click New Project in the top-right corner. Give your project a memorable name and optional description. You can choose from built-in templates:

  • Kanban — For agile-style workflows with columns for different stages
  • Sprint — Optimized for two-week sprints with velocity tracking
  • Roadmap — Long-term planning with timeline visualization
  • Blank — Start fresh with an empty canvas

Note: Starter plan allows up to 5 projects. Professional allows 25, and Business is unlimited. Archive old projects to stay organized.

Step 3: Invite Your Team

Click SettingsTeamInvite Members. Enter team members' email addresses (one per line) and assign their role:

  • Owner — Full control of workspace and billing (typically just you to start)
  • Admin — Can manage projects, team members, and settings
  • Member — Can view and work on assigned tasks

Invitations expire after 7 days. Team member seats count toward your plan limits (Starter: 1, Professional: 15, Business: 50).

Step 4: Configure Integrations (Optional)

To unlock automation potential, configure integrations in SettingsIntegrations:

  • API Key — Generate one to build custom integrations (available on all plans)
  • Webhooks — Subscribe to events like project creation or task updates
  • Custom Domain — Set up a branded domain (Professional and Business only)

Your API key provides programmatic access to all your CraftDesk data. See Authentication for details.
